Together with our government leaders across the world, in the UK, EU and the US, MLH, in support of Ukraine, stands with its people and categorically condemns Putin's "special military operation" and invasion of Ukraine. stands with Ukraine and its people, and categorically condemns Putin's "military operation" and invasion of Ukraine. This is a direct attack to democracy and the principles laid out by the United Nations, of which Russia is a member state.
Executive Manager and recently appointed Hertfordshire Branch Chair at SSAFA the Armed Forces Charity, Major Hugh Ottewell (retd), has stated,
Along with the rest of the world, we are deeply affected by the horrific events we are watching unfold in the Ukraine. Our hearts and prayers go out to all the men, women and young children. Putin’s directives will not go without severe ramifications which will inevitably impact all Russians, so many of whom equally abhor what they too are witnessing. A united front standing up to this tyrant and bully is the only language that he understands. Allied to this, we can but hope that those within the Kremlin will find the courage to take the necessary moral high ground to topple their ‘leader’ and enable the world to distance itself from this precipice to which Putin is bringing us all!

We can cover many sectors, but our experience so far tells us that there are two main sectors where we can make a difference:
